NWS assessment of Hoopeston tornado Monday night...

Touched down West of Il-Rt1 behind houses on Trego Dr. appr 100 yds North of 4200 N Rd (Thompson Ave.) at 6:14 pm. Traveled appr 1 mile to the South behind businesses on West side of Il- Rt 1 damaging couple power/light poles, then lifting behind Iroquois Federal at 6:16 pm. Rated an EF-0 tornado with estimated peak wind speed of 80 mph and maximum width of 30'.
