The People presented evidence that on October 30, 2025, agents with the Vermilion Metropolitan
Enforcement Group and Illinois State Police conducted a search warrant on an apartment on
Robinson Street in Danville. Law enforcement spoke to an occupant of the residence who stated
the defendant had sporadically lived in the apartment for a year. The occupant reported they had
seen Carlos Thomas sell cocaine out of the apartment. During the execution of the search
warrant, law enforcement recovered $647 United States Currency, 27 small baggies of suspected
cocaine packaged for individual sale with a total weight of 14 grams, 5 cell phones and a digital
scale. The suspected cocaine was sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis, and
results returned positive for cocaine.

the Illinois State Police for their thorough investigation, which helped remove illegal drugs from
our community and hold this defendant accountable.
