TOTHEROH SIGNS WITH CORNELL COLLEGE

Milford High School Senior Trey Totheroh, a 6’3” guard, has signed to play college basketball at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Cornell College is a NCAA Division III school that  participates in the Midwest Conference. Other conference schools besides the Cornell Rams include: St. Norbert College, Ripon College, Lake Forest College, Monmouth College, Grinnell College, Lawrence University, Beloit College, Knox College and Illinois College.  The Cornell College basketball program is led by Head Coach Dave Schlabaugh, who will be entering his 5th season at the helm and should be returning the majority of his roster for the 2021-2022 season. 

 

The Milford Bearcats finished this past season with a 14-6 record for Head Coach Dave Caldwell’s squad. Trey finished his career as the all time career record for assists “434” as well as the single game record of assists ''14 “ for Milford High School and finished his career scoring “820” points and “523” Rebounds.  This season Trey led the Bearcats in scoring, assists, free throw percentage, and 3 point field goal percentage. During Trey’s senior season he was an IBCA 1A All State Team Special Mention, 1st team Vermilion Valley Conference,  All Iroquois County Team, 1st team Kankakee Daily Journal, and 2nd team Champaign News Gazette.

 

During Trey’s four years in HS the Bearcats were 75-41 and during Trey’s three years as a starter for Coach Caldwell the Bearcats compiled a record of 55-29. Trey is the son of Steve and Beth Totheroh.
