Gary Edward Neal, 61, of Hoopeston, IL

A visitation will be held 10 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 P.M. with Sam Terrell officiating.  Burial will follow at the Floral Hill Cemetery.

Donald Charles Ward, 80, of Hoopeston

Visitation will be held at Blurton Funeral Home, Hoopeston IL, on Sunday, April 30th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.   A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday May 1st, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hoopeston, IL at 10:00 am with a lunch to follow at St. Anthony Parish Hall.  Fr. Patrick O'Neal will officiate. Paul Edward Rife, 80, of Hoopeston

Lorraine (Olson) Wilson, 94, of Hoopeston

A celebration of Lorraine Wilson’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston with Pastor Steve Unger officiating, Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston. John Charles “Chuck” Smock, 55, of Alvin, IL

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
 
As mayor of Alvin, Chuck had worked very hard to improve the town so in his memory, memorials may be made to the Village of Alvin to help continue his great work.

Robert Lee Kincade, 89, of Williamsport, IN

Cremation rites will be accorded and a visitation will be held 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Friday April 21, 2017 at the Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston, IL.  The memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 PM Friday at the church, with Pastor John Morris officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.

Nadine Odle, 93, of Chandler, AZ formerly of Hoopeston

Her visitation will be at 4:00 to 7:00 pm. on Wednesday April 19th at the Anderson Funeral Home 427 East Main Street in Hoopeston, IL.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 20th at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston located at 502 E. Main Street.  Reverend Tom Cici will be officiating. Nadine’s burial will immediately follow at the Floral Hill cemetery.

Walter K. Arms, 79, of Hoopeston

Walter K. Arms, 79, of Hoopeston, formerly of Kentucky, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at Heartland Manor Care, in Paxton.

Mr. Arms was born on November 29, 1937, in Marrowbone, Kentucky, the son of Gordon and Roxie (Huckleby) Arms.  He was raised by his grandparents- John and Lou Huckleby.

He is survived by one daughter- Brenda (Joey) Garner of Burkesville, Kentucky; special friend- Nettie Kelenhofer of Hoopeston; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son- James “Buster” Walter Arms and his sister- Phyllis.

Mr. Arms worked as a truck driver and he also worked at Harrison Steal and Elrod’s Tree Service, in Indiana.  Walter enjoyed fishing, working and walking everywhere in Hoopeston.  He loved to stop by and spend time visiting with people and telling his stories.

A Celebration of Walter K. Arms Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston.  Burial will follow the service in Floral Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Walter’s life.  Memories or photos may be sent to the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.blurtonfuneralhomes.com.
