Robert M. Rickart, 90, of Hoopeston

Robert M. Rickart, 90, of Hoopeston, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Hoopeston Carle Hospital, in Hoopeston, Illinois.

Mr.Rickart was born on September 21, 1927, in Rankin, Illinois, the son of Lora and Edna (Grimes) Rickart.  He married Lillie Belle (McBride) Rickart on June 28, 1947.  She precedes him in death.

He is also survived by five daughters- Marsha (Lloyd) Blackwell of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Brenda (Raleigh) Marlin of Christiana, Tennessee, Roberta Grether, Riverbank, California, Bonnie(Steve) Howell  of Hoopeston, Betty (Allen) Edwards of Bismarck, Illinois; son- Bobby(Dorothy)Rickart of Hoopeston Illinois ;fourteen grandchildren- Lori, Robyn, Jeremy, Raleigh, Ricky, Angela, Michelle, Deana, Shelly, Kelly, Steve Jr, Holly, Renee and Kyle ; 27 great-grandchildren & 2 great great -grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lillie Belle, daughter- Connie Rickart and granddaughter- Brandy Rickart.

Mr. Rickart served in the United States Navy-.  He worked as a methods clerk at FMC for over 40 years.  He was a member and past Commander of the Hoopeston VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to the casinos, taking car rides and to view wildlife. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed by them.

A Celebration of Robert Rickart’s Life will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston, with Steve Unger officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, funeral services to immediately follow.  He will be laid to rest in Mann’s Chapel Cemetery. Ann M. Morgan, 66, of Potomac

 

Ann Marie Morgan, 66, of Potomac, passed away at 10:26 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.

Ann was born on August 9, 1951, in Danville, the daughter of Allan and Lillian (Holt) Criblez.  She married Larry Morgan on August 19, 1974, at the Potomac Church of Christ.  He survives.

She is also survived by her mother Lillian Criblez of Potomac; three children- Matthew (Amy) Morgan of Champaign, Becky (Brian) Russell of Fairmount and Timothy (Niki) Morgan of Danville; eight grandchildren-Cohen Jancola, Alexa Jancola, Ashton Morgan, Mackenzie Russell, Macie Russell, Morgan Russell, Alli-Jo Rodgers and Casey-Jo Morgan; one brother- Robert Criblez of Potomac; three sisters- Kay Stevens of Arvada, Colorado, Mary Criblez of Westminster, Colorado and Julie (Jack) Moore of Potomac; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers-in-law- Lee Stevens and Leon Whitcanack.

Ann graduated from Armstrong High School, in 1969.  She then attended Lakeview College of Nursing in Danville, where she graduated from in 1972.  Ann started working as an R.N. at Lakeview Hospital in 1972, and worked there until her retirement in 2012.  She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi-Iota Theta Chapter Sorority, where they are involved in helping local organizations.   Ann was a very active member of the Number Ten Church of Christ.  She enjoyed her cats, flowers, doing jig saw puzzles, traveling to the Rocky Mountains and helping others.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Ann loved to go and watch their baseball and softball games. 

A Celebration of Ann's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Number Ten Church of Christ, in Potomac, with Pastor Ted Rohde officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Ann will be laid to rest in Embury Cemetery following the services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Number Ten Church of Christ.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Ann's life.  Memories or condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.

 

Marjorie L. Judy, 88, of Potomac

Marjorie L. Judy, 88, of Potomac, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her home.

Marjorie was born June 3, 1929 in Thawville, the daughter of Lester and Hazel Norvel Forrest. She married David Judy on June 22, 1947 in Potomac and he survives.

Besides her husband, David Judy of Potomac, she is survived by ten children, Stanley (Gari) Judy of Potomac, Denis (Gina) Judy of Potomac, Eric (Trina) Judy of Potomac, Brian (Sandy) Judy of Potomac, Steven (Lisa) Judy of Potomac, Dawn (Larry) Bridges of Mansfield, TX, Kevin (Lora Jean) Judy of Homer, Diane (Brian) Sieg of Rochelle, IL, Debbie Judy of Potomac, Matthew (Tanya) Judy of Loda; one brother, Glen (Rheta) Forrest of Potomac, nineteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ralph Forrest; two sisters, Juanita Thompson and Yvonne Rush; and one son, David L. Judy.

Mrs. Judy was a member of Middlefork United Methodist Church in Potomac. Marjorie enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Middlefork United Methodist Church in Potomac. Chip Mattis will officiate. Burial will follow at Wallace Chapel Cemetery in Potomac.

Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice or American Heart Association.

Marsha Kay Inman, 62, of Shelburn, Indiana, formerly of Hoopeston

Marsha Kay Inman, 62, of Shelburn, Indiana, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at 6:58 p.m. est. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Marsha was born on April 23, 1955, in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Harry W. Bieber and Patricia (Miller) Marks.  She married Ronald Inman in Bloomington, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 2015.

She is survived by one daughter- Cathy Elston of Indiana; three sons- Billy B. Bieber of Illinois, Ricky J. Beiber of Indiana and Raymond Pruitt of Indiana; one brother- William L. Bieber of Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son- Steven Bieber.

Marsha enjoyed fishing, crafting, collecting things and throwing her coffee spoons.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2018, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston, with Pastor Tom Cici.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.  According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded.  Memorials may be made to the Grant Township Food Cupboard.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Marsha’s life.  Memories or condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.

Roberta M. Spencer, 77, of Rossville

Roberta M. Spencer, 77, of Rossville, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Accolade Healthcare, in Paxton.

Mrs. Spencer was born on December 18, 1940, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Ernest and Leola (Lanham) Queen.  She married Robert W. Spencer on March 25, 1961, at the United Methodist Church, in Rossville.  He preceded her in death on June 19, 2001.

She is survived by three daughters- Maria (Brad) Reifsteck of Henning, Belinda (Richard) Roberts of Rankin and Loretta (Rob) Enlow of Champaign; one son- Anthony Spencer of Joliet; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Coleen D. Spencer and two brothers- Larry C. Queen and Merle W. Queen.

Roberta graduated from Rossville High School.  She worked as an EMT in Rossville for several years.  Roberta was active in the USO and she enjoyed playing cards, dice, Jeep racing and was an avid Bears and Illini fan.

Earl F. Donley, 80, of Cissna Park

Earl F. Donley, 80, of Cissna Park passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

Earl was born August 5, 1937 in Danville, the son of Elmer and Louise Burroughs Donley. He married Mary Lee Messman on January 26, 1958 in Broadlands, IL and she survives.
Besides his wife, Mary Lee Donley of Cissna Park, he is survived by his mother, Louise Donley of Oakwood; two brothers and one sister, Bob (Kay) Donley of Danville, Betty (Earl) Plotner of Platte City, MO, and Gene Donley of Westville; one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Zollar Donley of Hoopeston; three grandchildren, Dylan, Carly, and Michael Donley; and one great granddaughter, Harper Donley.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sons, Mark and David.

Mr. Donley was owner and operator of Earl Donley Trucking and farmed for over fifty years. He enjoyed trapshooting, his Camaro, eating at truck stops, and riding his motorcycle. Earl loved teasing people and having fun.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park. Deacon Pat Skelly will officiate. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.

Memorials may be made to the family or St. John’s Lutheran Church at Ash Grove.

James Francis "Jim" Glover, 83, of Hoopeston

James Francis “Jim” Glover, 83, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 8:45 A.M. Friday March 9, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.  He was born July 21, 1934, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Ralph and Beulah (Tyler) Glover.  He married Joyce Barnes on March 13, 1954 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville, IL.  She survives in Hoopeston.

He is also survived by one daughter, Vicki Lynn (George) Glover-Atkins of Marion, IN; one son, Bradley Eugene Glover of Hoopeston, IL; sisters, Gwendolyn Glover Brown and Marcia Dobkins Smith both of Hoopeston, IL and twin sister, Joan Binkley of Champaign, IL; one brother, Ralph Lester Glover of Mountain Grove, MO; 4 grandchildren, Mandy Lynn Schunke Capp, Joy Lynn Paray Parker, Bradley James Glover, and Jamee Mae Coon; 8 great-grandchildren, Abagail, Madison, Logan, Austin, Jaxon, Armani, Payton, and Brayden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Jim worked at FMC in Hoopeston for forty years, until his retirement.  He attended the First Church of God in Hoopeston and served as a past-president of the North Fork Conservation Club.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL, with Pastor Hunter Tibbs officiating.  Burial will follow.
