Glenda K. Bohlmann, 69, Watseka passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. She was born on December 12, 1950 in Watseka, the daughter of Glenn and Annabelle (Wilson) Schladenhauffen.

Glenda married David P. Bohlmann in Watseka on February 25, 1995 and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Chanin Daly of Boswell, IN and Helen (Nick) Hawkins of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Chad (Kathy) Bertrand of Watseka and Jeramey Bohlmann of Watseka; one brother, Tim (Kelly) Schladenhauffen of Woodland; two sisters, Janice Torbet of Warsaw, IN and Diane Cross of Watseka; seven grandchildren; one brother in law, Kevin (Michelle) Bohlmann of Venice, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Glenda attended Centennial Christian Church in Watseka. She enjoyed her family, knitting, and spending time on her computer.

Visitation will be on Wednesday December 2, 2020 from 5-8 pm at Centennial Christian Church in Watseka. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Thursday at Centennial Christian Church in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka. The family requests those attending the visitation and services to please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

Dorothy I. (Hamilton) Watrous, 99, of Rossville, IL, passed away peacefully at 4:15 P.M. Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.  She was born October 27, 1921, in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Lovell H. and Ethel (Stump) Hamilton.  She married Clifford Watrous on June 16, 1951 at the Hoopeston United Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on November 7, 1991. 

She is survived by two daughters, Regina Bushong of Mapleton, IL and Joan (Jim) Jarvis of Bloomington, IL; two sons, Dr. Michael L. (Carol) Watrous of Elgin, IL and John H. Watrous of Rossville, IL; five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Maxine Calkins, Maxwell Hamilton, Marian “Babe” Hamilton, Mary Blundell, and her twin sister, Doris Hathaway. 

Mrs. Watrous was a 1940 graduate of Rossville High School.  She was employed by Inland Steel Company in Chicago during World War II.  She also sold Avon and Mary Kay products earlier in her life.  Dorothy was a member of the Rossville Civic Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church and actively cooked chicken and noodles at the annual Fall Fling for many years.  She also helped in the kitchen at the church for funeral dinners.  She was an excellent cook and her family looked forward to her holiday meals.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched many by her Christian love.  To her family, Dorothy was a caring homemaker who always put her children first.  To those in her church, she was always willing to help.  She had a strong Christian faith, having the capacity to forgive others without ever holding a grudge.  May she now find peace in the presence of God our Father. 

A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 1, 2020 at the Rossville United Methodist Church, 116 Maple St. Rossville, IL.  The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Chris Quick officiating.  Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery.

Donald Gibson Frazier, 70, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 11:04 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at OSF in Danville, IL.  

Donald was born March 21, 1950 in Danville, IL, the son of Ambrose Alfred Frazier and Dorothy Kinney Peevler. 

He married Sharon (McNeely) Stone on June 24, 2006 at Mann’s Chapel in Rossville, IL.  She survives in Hoopeston, IL. 

He is also survived by two sons, Chris (Melissa) Frazier of Statesville, NC and Cole Frazier of Okeechobee, FL; three step-daughters, Emily Stone of Rankin, IL, Kelly (Brock) Shore of Hoopeston, IL, and Melody Stone of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Marie (Larry) Michaels of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 step-sisters, Charity (Bill) Peevler Wilson of Danville, IL and Audra (Stanley) Penn of Florida; 4 step-brothers, Mark Peevler Jr. of Indiana, David (Kathy) Peevler of Colorado, Paul Peevler of Florida, and Danny Peevler of Florida; and four grandchildren, Anthony Shore, Regan Shore, Jasmine Frazier, and Liam Rhodes. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his parents; and his step-father, Mark Peevler. 

Don worked for the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier in Tilton for 4 years and then became the Postmaster in Rossville for 30 years.  He was drafted into the United States Army in 1969 serving in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971.  He was a past Rossville School Board member, Rossville Jaycee, and Rossville Village Board member. He previously served on the Rossville Fire Department and was an accident investigator for Vermilion County.  Don loved Christmas and spent 16 years being Santa Claus at Aunt Jody’s Christmas Bank in Rossville.  He loved making special appearances at family’s homes surprising little kids with the magic of Christmas.  He also loved collecting Santa’s of all sizes.  Don had a great sense of humor and loved to pull pranks on people.  The best part of the prank was listening to Don laugh as he had an infectious laugh that was very distinctive.  After he retired, he was kind of lost on what to do with his extra time.  He tinkered with some woodworking projects for a while, but he found a passion for gardening.  Each year he would plant more fruits and vegetables and was able to set up a farmer’s market in Danville.  He was proud of his gardens and really enjoyed meeting people at the market.  In addition to gardening, Don also enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. 

A visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday December 3, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston.  Due to the Covid restrictions, 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time.  We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the visitation.   A private funeral will be held with burial in the Danville National Cemetery.

Sharon Kay Moore, 78, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:15 A.M. Friday November 20, 2020 at her home.  She was born July 17, 1942, in Watseka, IL, the daughter of Deke Redman and Shirley (Martin) Henke and was also raised by her step-father, “Pud” Henke.  She married Butch Moore on March 28, 1975 in Danville, IL.  He survives in Hoopeston. 

She is also survived by three daughters, Angela Burke of Cissna Park, IL, Kelly (Roy) Jenkins of Gilman, IL, and Christy Burke (Jerry Rhodes) of Danville, IL; two sons, Timothy “Tim” Burke of Hoopeston, IL and David (Kellie) Wallace of Terre Haute, IN; one sister, Patsy Simpson of Hoopeston, IL; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jamie Moore; one sister, Georgia Rutledge; two brothers-in-law, Joe Rutledge and Bill Simpson; and one great-granddaughter, Kyla Kinney. 

Sharon worked in sales owning her own drapery business.  She was a member of the Community Nazarene Church in Hoopeston.  She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her puppies. 

A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hill Cemetery. 

Norman L. Doud, 88, of Milford, passed away at 4:15 a.m. est., Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Westpark of Indianapolis.

Mr. Doud was born on February 14, 1932, in Milford, the son of LeRoy and Mary Frances (Ashby) Doud. He married Mary Lou Stanley on February 21, 1953, in Vincennes, Indiana. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children-Tonya (Mark) Merritt, Shelly Gray and Lori (Joel) Luca. He was blessed with many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son- Jon Kelly Doud,

Norman graduated from Milford High School. A US Marine veteran, who received a Purple Heart, in the Korean Conflict. He worked for several years as a heavy equipment operator and in construction. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milford and a lifetime member of the VFW, in Watseka.

According to his wish’s cremation rites will be accorded and his ashes will be laid to rest by his wife. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston to assist them in honoring Mr. Doud’s life.

Mildred Langdoc, 99, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:48 P.M. Tuesday November 17, 2020 at her home.  She was born June 10, 1921 in Wren, OH, the daughter of Horace and Harriett (Dull) Hudspeth.  She married Robert E. Langdoc on August 20, 1944 in Danville, IL.  He preceded her in death. 

She is survived by one daughter, LaVeda Sutton of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Gary R. Langdoc of Hoopeston, IL and Gaylen Kent (Billie Sue) Langdoc of Bloomingdale, IN; 5 grandchildren, Robert Langdoc, Michele Lohmeyer, Rachele (Matt) Parsons, Kelly Langdoc, and Bryan (Maureen) Langdoc; 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah Trombley, Matthew and Maya Parsons, Rosa (Jack) Hill, Sara, Eugenio, Clare, Basil, William, and Ignatius Langdoc; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, LaRee Lohmeyer; three sisters, Martha Jones, Marcile Chesnut, and Georgianna Wilds; and one brother, Calvin Hudspeth. 

During Mildred’s grade school years, she won the state penmanship award for the state of Oklahama in which she was always very proud of.  She was a homemaker most of her life, caring for her family.  She later worked in the office at Vermilion Iron and then at City National Bank before her retirement.  She was a member of the Hoopeston United Methodist Church, where she also belonged to the United Methodist Women.  Mildred was a former member of the Hoopeston American Legion Auxiliary and the Hoopeston Hospital Auxiliary.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going out for coffee, playing games, and sewing.   

Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James E. Styck Sr. 88, of Watseka passed away Tuesda, November 10, 2020 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

WATSEKA, Ill. – Longtime Iroquois County farmer Robert Earl (Bob) McCullough, 90, of Watseka, died peacefully Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home.

He was born March 15, 1930 in Essex, Ill., to Thomas James (TJ) and Myra Mary Latz McCullough. He married his high school sweetheart Shirley Bratcher on Dec. 10, 1950, celebrating nearly 70 years of marriage. The couple had six children.

The family lived in rural Sheldon and Iroquois before returning to his childhood home in Watseka. He was a grain and livestock farmer and sold Cargill Seed. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and taking family vacations with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Love of family was at the top of his list. His family became an important part of the McCullough-Latz Family Reunion each June in Watseka and the McCullough Family Christmas dinner. His annual Labor Day weekend at “the campground” on his Old Texas farm near the Iroquois River was always well-attended by family and friends. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Iroquois and the First Presbyterian Church of Watseka.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Bratcher McCullough of Watseka; one son, Daniel Robin (Ellen) McCullough of Watseka; three daughters, Janet Lin Anderson of Sheldon, Judy Mae Bingman of Champaign, and Patti Jo Jenkins (Robert Taylor) of Salem; five grandchildren, Amy (Dennis) Hofbauer of Mahomet, Bobbi (Chance Clatterbuck) McCullough of Milford; Sarah (Ron Vlach) Johnson of Urbana; Jenny Mae Howard of Carmi; and Wil Robert Bingman of Urbana; 10 great grandchildren, Carrie Riston, Brianna Hamm, Deanna Auxier, Hannah and Arthur Hofbauer, Kayla, Allison, and Jacqueline McCullough, and Alexis and Gage Vogel; two sisters Barbara Walter of Mishawaka, Ind., and Doris (John) Ash of Lebanon, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews, including Alan Bratcher of Watseka and Eric Bratcher of Heyworth, Calif. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews and family friends.

He was preceded in death by one infant son, John Robert McCullough; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Haven; one grandson, Christopher Daniel McCullough; one brother-in-law raised with the family, Artie Bratcher; one son-in-law, Dr. Keith Jenkins; six brothers and their wives, Virgil (Zelma) McCullough, Lawrence (Hattie) McCullough, Samuel (Hazel) McCullough, Levi (Verla) McCullough, Thomas (Norma) McCullough, and toddler Thomas James McCullough; five sisters and their husbands, Arvilla (Buck) Foltz, Velma (Eddie) Larson, Mary (Ray) Sturm, Delorous (Joe) Guard, and infant Dorothy McCullough; and one additional brother-in-law, Charles Walter.

Private family services will be held Tuesday. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka, Illinois.

Rodger Lee Masden, 82, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 7:36 A.M. Saturday November 21, 2020 at Paxton Senior Living in Paxton, IL.  He was born February 6, 1938, in Muhlenburg County, KY, the son of Howard Masden and Irene (Vincent) Hughes and was raised by his step-father, Austin Hughes.  He married Shelby (James) Hinkle on December 29, 1982.  She survives in Hoopeston. 

He is also survived by three daughters, Teri (Jesse) Hardin of Rensselaer, IN, JoHannah (Dan) Gash of Wellington, IL, and Nita (Ronnie) Trueblood of Terre Haute, IN; one son, Mark (Valerie) Hinkle of Wellington, IL; five sisters, Andrea James Lewis of Hamilton, AL, Renda McDonald of Gilman, IL, VaRetta James of Gary, IN, Anna Austeen (Waylen) James of Wheatfield, IN, and Vinell (Efrain) Miranda of Muncie, IN; five grandchildren, Cody (Karina) Hinkle, Lauren (Conor) McIlrath, Nicolle (Tim) Vincent, Jarad Mohon, and Beau Masden; five great-grandchildren, Madison (Enrique) Aranda, Morgan, Nathaniel, Colby, and Alijah Gash; and one great-great-granddaughter, Haven Grace Aranda. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father; his father; sister, Dixie Lewis; and brothers, J.W. Hughes, Murrell Hughes, and Tony (Earline) Masden. 

Rodger drove a truck for Eaglebrook for over forty years before his retirement.  He was a member of New Beginnings Church of Hoopeston.  He was the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for Southern Grace gospel band.  Rodger enjoyed gardening and caring for his yard. 

A private family visitation and funeral service will be held at New Beginnings of Hoopeston.  Following the service, he will be cremated.

Vader L. Clements, 95, of Springfield, IL, passed away at 12:40 A.M. Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Washington Senior Living in Washington, IL.  He was born April 15, 1925 in Springfield, IL, the son of John and Barbara (Adair) Clements.  He married LeMoyn M. Foxworthy on October 8, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hoopeston.  She preceded him in death on June 15, 1996. 

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Maurer of Peoria, IL; two grandchildren, Tammy (Derek) Anderson and James (Allison) Maurer; and five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Simon, and Haven Ammerman and Emmett and Miles Maurer. 

In addition to his wife, LeMoyn, Vader was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; three brothers; one infant brother; and son-in-law, Richard Maurer. 

Vader was employed at American National Can in Hoopeston for 38 years, working in several different departments until his retirement in 1982.  He became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hoopeston in 1959 and had previously served as Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, and other capacities.  He and his wife, LeMoyn, were faithful Christian people in Christ and the church.  In 1962 he became a member of the Star Lodge #709 A.F. & A.M. Illinois Masons.  He served as a past Master of the lodge and also a member of the Danville Consistory Class of Challenge in spring of 1968, a 32 degree mason.  Vader’s hobbies included carpentry (woodwork), flowers, shrubbery, trees, and gardening most of his life.  He also enjoyed reading his Bible and believed in the teachings of the wisdom of God.   

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston with Rev. Wade Meranda officiating.

George Hazen Patterson, III,62, of Hoopeston, IL passed away at 10:28 A.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his home.  He was born October 13, 1958, in Danville, IL, the son of George and Suzanne (Davis) Patterson, II.

He is survived by two daughters, Brandy (Trent) Kaeb of Cissna Park, IL and Hannah Patterson (fiancé Joaquin A. Granados) of Hoopeston, IL, and their mother, Pamela Neathery Patterson.  He is also survived by three sisters, Ann Wise of Hoopeston, IL, Sue Ellen (Mark) Hinkle of Bismarck, IL and Carolyn (Scott) Wallace of Mackinaw, IL; one brother, Bill (Debbie) Patterson of Bettendorf, IA; four grandchildren, Colton, Leni, and Brody Kaeb of Cissna Park, IL and Horatio Granados, of Hoopeston, IL, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Sam Wise.

George was a lifelong farmer.  He enjoyed hunting with his prized dogs, fishing in Ely, MN, playing poker, and hanging out with his friends.  Most of all, George loved spending time with his grandkids.

Donna Dae Morts, 73, of Milford, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020, at Riverside Medical Center, in Kankakee.

Donna was born on May 15, 1947, in Watseka, the daughter of Donald and Eunice (Day) Eighner. She married Stephen Morts on July 7, 1968, in Watseka. He survives.

She is also survived by one son- Scott Morts of Milford; three grandchildren- Ethan, Emma and Evelyn Morts all of Milford; two brothers- Richard (Barb) Eighner of Watseka and David Eighner of Okeechobee, FL; one sister- Carolyn (Ron) Schomhe of Okeechobee, FL; mother-in-law-Marie Morts of Hoopeston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna graduated from Sheldon High School, in 1965. After high school, she attended Weaver Airline School, in Kansas City, MO. She worked in airline reservations, in New York City, after airline school. Donna enjoyed crafting, gardening, flowers, taking care of her cats and spending time with her grandchildren.

Due to current Covid-19 health concerns, private family services will he held. She will be laid to rest in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Milford Swimming Pool or Milford Ambulance Service.

Tamera Sue “Tami” Crawford, 58, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 11:58 P.M. Sunday November 8, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.  She was born December 13, 1961, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Jack and Ruth (Ingram) Neathery.  She married Marvin Crawford on December 23, 1989 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston.  He preceded her in death in 2008. 

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Neathery of Hoopeston, IL; three daughters, Erin Crawford-Warns (Steve Warns) of Odgen, IL, Maggie Crawford (Jared Moran) Champaign, IL, and Molly Crawford (Zach Nuss) of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Marvin Crawford of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Jill Zollar-Bell (Brian Bell) of Naples, FL, Ava Johnson of Wellington, IL, and twin sister, Pamela Neathery-Patterson (George Patterson) of Hoopeston, IL; four grandchildren, Gracelyn Warns, Shelby Warns, Miley Crawford, and Marvin Jack Crawford; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Jack Neathery; brother, Robin Neathery; and brother-in-law, Tony Johnson. 

Tami worked as a medical secretary and was also a homemaker.  She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston, where she also helped with Bible school.  Her hobbies included making crafts, doing word searches, and attending concerts.  Tami enjoyed praying for others and updating family and friends about the weather but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Cremation rites will be accorded.  A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday November 17, 2020 at the First Christian Church 502 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  A private memorial service will be held with burial at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the visitation and/or service.

Jessica Lynn “Jess” Thorn, 43, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 2:04 P.M. Friday November 6, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.  She was born April 29, 1977 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Bruce Mitchell Schwartz and Mary (Cox) Jennings.  She married Michael James Thorn on December 5, 2005 in Danville, IL.  He survives in Hoopeston. 

She is also survived by her mother, Mary Jennings of Hoopeston, IL; step-father, Kevin Vogel; one daughter, Lydia Jean Thorn on Hoopeston, IL; four sons, Robert Dowin Wood Jr., Harley James Thorn, Chi Michael Pierce, and Ronald James Thorn all of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Alisa Michelle (Paul) Sudlow of Bloomington, IL; two brothers, Joshua David Schwartz of Westville, IL and Aaron Michael (Andrea) Vogel of Fairmount, IL;  and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Bruce Schwartz; aunt, Teresa Pierce; and cousin, Andrew Ryan Coon. 

Jessica worked as an LPN at Asta Care in Paxton.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, listening to music, and attending concerts.  She loved taking care of her patients and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Thursday November 12, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  A private family funeral service will be held with burial following at Flora

Wayne Eldon Carter, 79, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:45 P.M. Sunday November 8, 2020 at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston.  He was born September 20, 1941, in Danville, IL, the son of Harold Carter and Pauline Ozella Kinser.  He married Janet Sue Crawford on May 22, 1966 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Hoopeston.  She preceded him in death.   

He is survived by one daughter, Cassy Carter of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Wayne Allen (Emily) Carter; one sister, Diana (Tom) Fortier of Hoopeston, IL; one brother-in-law, Jerry Miller of Hoopeston, IL; four grandchildren, Gabby Carter, Cayley Martin, Carter Martin, and Zach Carter; and four nieces and nephews, Tammy (John) Dixon, Debbie (Rudy) Bauer, Jerry Wayne Miller, and Shannon (Curtis) Tidwell. 

In addition to his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Ozella Taflinger; father, Harold Carter; stepfather, Harold Taflinger; sister, Connie Carter; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Jean Miller and Carol Knecht. 

Wayne worked at American National Can which later became Silgan until his retirement.  He served in the United States Navy.  In his earlier years, Wayne served as a baseball coach for little league and pony league teams and was always there for his own children’s activities.  He was very talented and could do most anything from remodeling homes to rebuilding motorcycles and cars or any other task that needed done.  Wayne enjoyed gambling with his brother-in-law, Jerry and his greatest enjoyment in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.  He could always refocus the family no matter the situation and put a smile on their face.  Wayne will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his famous mottos, a little money in the bank and got the world by the tail and, hang in there. 

A visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday November 12, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL.  A private funeral service will be held, and burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, with military rites being accorded by the Hoopeston American Legion Post #384.  We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the visitation and/or service.

Antonio “Tony” Montez Sr., 81, of Hoopeston, IL passed away at 6:20 P.M. on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. 

He was born on May 10, 1939 in McAllen, Texas, the son of Inez and Tranquilina (Bustos) Montez. 

Tony worked at FMC as a forklift operator for over thirty years before his retirement. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. One of Tony’s greatest enjoyments was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.     

Surviving Antonio is his wife, Otilia Montez of Hoopeston; 4 sons, Antonio Montez Jr. of Hoopeston, Armando Montez of Hoopeston, Jesus Montez of Hoopeston, and Reynaldo (Lori) Montez of Hoopeston; 2 daughters, Norma (Ryan) Cade of Hoopeston, and Angelica Montez (Gary Watson) of Hoopeston; 2 sisters, Sara Vega of McAllen, TX, and Delfina Meza of Edinburg, TX; 11 grandchildren, Nick Montez (Ashley Pickett), Jay Montez (Britteny Landes), Benjamin Montez (Heather McAllister), Olivia Montez (Junior Hartman), Raven Rutherford, Madison Watson, Xavier Rivera, Danielle Watson (Joey Miranda), Dustin Watson, Mila Watson and Kamerin Cade; 13 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Trenton, Reydon, Kenyon, Eli, Avery, Bella, Zayla, Elliana, Dominick, Isaac, Violet, and Camden; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; young daughter, Norma; and two brothers, Mauro Montez and Inez Montez Jr.  

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday November 14, 2020 at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.  We kindly ask that face coverings be worn, and social distancing is maintained by those who attend the service.
