Details: HPD responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. HPD located the above subject identified as the driver whose license returned suspended and found the license plates to belong to a different vehicle. Mr. Torres received citations for both violations with a notice to appear in Vermilion County traffic court and was released from the scene.

 The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that construction on the Interstate 74 bridges over Griffin Street and Stoney Creek in Danville begins Oct. 4. The project involves replacing the I-74 bridge over Griffin Street and rehabilitation of wearing surfaces on the bridge over Stoney Creek and will reduce both bridges to one lane in each direction through December 2024. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment. Over the next six years, IDOT is planning to improve more than 3,000 miles of highway and nearly 10 million square feet of bridge deck as part of the Rebuild Illinois capital program, which is investing $33.2 billion into all modes of transportation. Accomplishments through Year Four of Rebuild Illinois included approximately $12.1 billion of improvements statewide on 5,339 miles of highway, 533 bridges and 762 additional safety improvements. Fire Call (Carbon Monoxide Detector) Time: 06:40 am Location: Hoopeston High School, 615 E Orange St Details: HFD called to investigate possible leak in the Science Lab, they had a detector malfunctioned, they replaced the faulty one with a new one but it was still sounding. Discovered the new detector was faulty also. No issues found within the room, cleared by the fire dept equipment.

Details: HPD received a complaint that the dogs in the backyard were barking nonstop. After checking, the Utility Group working in the alley stated that darkest color Brindal dog had got out and attempted to bite, but was chased off. Details: HFD, HPD, and Arrow Ambulance responded to the report of a bicycle hitting a vehicle.

Unit #1 failed to stop at S 7th St/E Main and struck Unit #2 on the passenger side of the

vehicle. No citations were issued, Unit #2 was insured and Unit #1 was transported to

Carle. A computer check reveal Mr. Houser had an outstanding Rutherford Co warrant
